December 20, 1920 – March 18, 2012
Beloved husband and father, George Adrian passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2012. The youngest of ten children, George was born on December 20, 1920, and grew up in Long Beach, Ca. He moved to Berkeley in 1938 to attend California State University, Berkeley School of Engineering. Upon graduation, he entered the U.S. military and became a Captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Returning home from his service to our country, George went to work for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power as a Civil and Sanitary Engineer. It was there that he met his future wife of 65-3/4 years, Margaret, "Marge" Fogarty. Falling instantly in love with her, George proposed marriage to Marge within one week and she accepted. They married and had three children: Carol Skandera of Santa Rosa, Bob Adrian of Colorado and Robin Tilghman of Fresno. After 31years as an engineer, George retired and he and Marge moved to Morgan Hill so George could then serve as Vice President of California Water Service Company. After nine years there, they moved to Fresno where he fulfilled his lifelong dream of farming for over 25 years.
George's passions were his Christian faith, his family and friends. He loved the church, serving and teaching.
He touched many lives and will be dearly missed by his wife; three children; nine grandchildren; sixteen plus great-grandchildren; and many friends.

You saved my life when I was a teen. You showed me that true men could be strong but loving. You gave me direction without even knowing it. In you I found only goodness & love. You were a great part of my baptism... I loved you throughout my life & still do today. Thank you. I hope when you reached heaven God gave you the massive hug you deserved. Aloha Lynette

Marge and family,
George was such a kind and gentle man. I don't think any of my family will forget the wonderful dinner (chicken broccoli casserole) we had with the both of you on the ranch. It was great!! He has left a mark on our lives...he loved his God!! He enjoyed so much helping and watching me plant his vines..what a pleasure!! We even bartered for the planting..railroad ties for planting!! We love you !! Wish we could be with you for the service, situations out of our control do not permit us to be there, but we are with you in spirit!! God be with you and your family in this time of sorrow! We love you,
Jim and Jo Ann Perry and family
