From the first week we became friends we gave each other ridiculous nicknames. I was always in awe of your beautiful locs that flowed effortless. You were always a glimpse of sunshine. We remained friends through high school and into adulthood. You never missed a birthday or wishing me a happy Mother’s Day. Every time we saw each other we’d give each other the biggest lingering hugs just surprised and happy to see each other in the moment. Your smile lives with me forever. Your heart was one of a fighter. Your soul will be infinite. To know you was to know love. I love your life now and forever. Missing you and sending you love and light as always.

My favorite memory will always be my summers in Fresno as a kid that turned into living here. You were my only cousin for a long time and you were like a brother more often for me and my two brothers. Whenever anyone dared question why I looked different you and Troy always defended me and it was never weird when you called my mom mom because, being your mom's big sister, we loved you  much.

Between playing at my Tia April's with king and then Roscoe and wrestling everywhere, McDonald's ice cream cones on grandma's back stoop (since she had no backyard to speak of) to you coming with us to summer camps and going to school together and countless jokes and pranks. There's a lifetime of memories that I will cherish forever. I am blessed to have had time with you before your passing. Having you here was the healing we needed for some of those years lost. I love you cousin and I hope you and all the dogs are wrestling in paradise. There will never be a cousin like you again.

That big smile of yours will forever hold a place in my heart and memory. When I would see you you’d always have a grin on your face and your hair would always look great, I have no doubt you’re smiling down on your loved ones right now.

I still remember when you would call your dad “George” in your bostonian accent when you were a child. We’ll never forget how you could  light up a room with your beautiful smile. Rest In Peace lil “G”. 

I keep trying to push forward but I still can’t seem to get that phone call out of my head… 12:16 a.m.  Thursday morning… That is when I found out a piece of my heart was gone forever. I lay in bed at night and play it over and over. In time I know this will set in but right now I just can’t accept that I won’t see your big smile or be embraced by that bear hug of yours. I keep waiting for that FT call i know  deep down I’m never going to get and it hurts. For now I’ll hold on to all the memories, braid those beautiful locks one last time, and carry you with me in my heart forever. 
Until we see each other again keep those braids tight kid, I love you more!

My heart is broken and I can’t believe your gone. The moment you walked into my life, I loved you. Your beautiful smile, your big hugs and your sense of humor lol.. You were so caring and loving. I’ll never forget our trip to Pismo. We had so much fun. I tired carrying you down the pier because you were tired but only made a few steps. Now, I’ll always carry you in my heart. My heart is saddened by your sudden departure.   You were my first practice child.  We made many memories over the years, especially when you were little.  I remember getting you for the weekends and taking you so many places.  You hated to kiss me when you were little but you did it because I was your aunt.  As you got older, you were so respectful to me and kind to my kids your cousins.  You always told me you loved me.  The last time we saw each other was for grandmas 70th birthday.  We spent the day together, hanging out, laughing and eating.  It was such good day.

The last time we talked was your birthday.  The kids and I called you and asked you what you wanted at Starbucks.  You sent Ytalia your order and we sent it to the store from San Diego to Fresno.  The last words we said to each other before we got off the phone was, "I love you"!  

A part of me is with you, mijo.  I don't think I will ever understand why you have left this earth so early but I do know we will see each other again.  Until then, I am sending you all my love and hugs!

Dear Georgie,
A piece of our heart has been ripped away and our family gatherings will never be the same. I will miss your laugh and beautiful smile and delicious dishes that you use to whip up to share with us. You will forever be my sweet nephew who always had a love for dogs and use to once carry hockey sticks in the back of his pants to terrorize those around you! So many memories, yet not enough time here in this world. I loved you for all of your life and will miss you for the rest of mine. Fly high our angel, until we meet again ❤️

My world is shattered but you need to know how much joy you brought me. You brighten every moment. Although your life was too short you were loved completely from the day you were born. My memories of you are wonderful. I pretend to be strong but grandma is dying inside

I’ll cherish my last 3 trips with you this year. On my 70th birthday in San  Diego on the beach, dinner and pictures with those that love you. In April to visit my sister for her birthday and for spending part of Mother’s Day with me and the beautiful flowers you brought me along with my giftcard   Ill remember your 27th birthday, just you and I   Sometimes its the smaller things that take up the most room in my heart. 
You have my 2 brothers in heaven, to watch out for you but I know when my sister Lola heard you were at heavens gate, she eagerly ran to greet you. She loves your Dad and she’ll watch over you, Until  we meet again I will always love you

We can shed tears because you are gone or we can smile because you lived We can remember that you are gone or we can cherish your memory and let it live on  We can cry and close our minds, be empty and turn our backs or do what Georgie would want for us to do, smile, open our eyes, love and go on

The first time I met George I asked him for a ciggaret and he gave me a whole pack I told him I just need one but he insisted to keep the whole pack and I told myself is this guy rich and doesn't want me to keep bugging him for ciggarets or is he just a really nice person. He was my roomate my gym partner my friend and to my family and I he was also family thats what my mother told him. Time went on and I realized he is just nice person but not just to me but to everyone around him.  We will miss you bro rest in peace🙏

As you mumbled Tia Stacie, I’d look over at you and you had questions, you always had that sense of urgency about wanting to know everything. As you grew up, you grew more and more quiet. However quiet you were, you always hugged me with so much love and such a beautiful smile. I may not have seen you as much as time went on, however when I did I always saw my lil Georgie. I will carry you in my heart forever just like I always have!! I love you Mijo.
