George Joseph Vasquez

March 21, 1985March 26, 2021

A much loved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was born March 21, 1985 in Concord, California and was raised in Fresno.

George richly enjoyed family and friends and was fondly remembered by all he met. He was a very caring man with a deep sense of fairness and lived his life in pursuit of that fairness and truth. His path lead him to explore Europe and ultimately a career in law after graduating from Pepperdine University. In his spare time, George could be found backpacking, waiting in line for the next Star Wars Film, or practicing Kaopera. George never had a shallow friend, his relationships were deep and lifelong. He pursued everything with passion and will be deeply missed by all.

George is survived by his wife Caroline, his father and mother, George and Arlene Vasquez, his sister and brother-in-law, Antonia and Ryan Dellone, and nephews, Gabriel and Brandon, and niece Bella.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 31st at 1:30pm.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at for the VASQUEZ family.

I was deeply saddened to hear of George’s passing yesterday in Court. I was not a personal friend of George’s but I considered him to be a professional and extremely competent lawyer. I had no hesitation referring clients to him because I knew they would be in good hands with George. The profession lost a rising star. My deepest and most sincere condolences go out to George’s family.

George was a good friend back in high school, always smiling and positive, very easy to relate to. I lost touch with him over the years since graduation, but I will always remember him as someone who was very kind and sincere. I am sad to hear of his passing and extend my sympathy and sincere condolences to his parents and family.

George and Arlene, the emotions felt by the loss of a child defy the written word but I'll do my best to convey my shared grief. George and I never met, however, his stellar character and compassionate heart came from two people I do know and love - you and Arlene. During George's too brief time on this earth, he mirrored the goodness of his parents and did the Vasquez family name proud. It is said that only the good die young and if that be so George had done a lifetime of goodness in 36 years. We should all be that good.

George was an amazing person. I met him in 2016/2017 when I was having a hard time in life. I came to him for a legal help and he did everything he could to help me get justice. He had a big heart. He even powered through my deposition in February after he got sick. It was a tough day for him but it showed how dedicated he was. I was not aware of just how ill he was because he rallied behind me with such care. We postpone my case shortly after. I told him that his health is way more important than my case. I was very concerned about him and checked in with him on occasion. I am very sad for his loss.
My heart goes out to his wife. He would mention her on occasion. He loved her very much. I pray for healing and comfort to her and the family.
