He was born in Paris, TX in 1927 and moved to Fresno, CA in 1946, where he met and married Virginia, his wife of 52 years. He owned and operated Shelton Drilling Contractors and relocated to Coarsegold, CA in 1980.
Dick is survived by his family, Daughter Elizabeth Melendez of Kissimmee, FL; son in law, Jose Melendez of Kissimmee, FL; Daughter Patricia Shelton of Oakdale, CA; Grandson Michael Shaw of Oakdale, CA; also special friends Brad and Desiree Zinich of Coarsegold, CA. He was proceeded in death by his wife Virginia Shelton; brothers Coleman, Homer and Harold Shelton.
Services will be held on Tuesday October 19, 2010 at Stephens and Been Funeral Chapel for viewing from 8:00-9:00am, Graveside Funeral at IOOF Cemetery at 11:00, located in Fresno, CA.
