Jeri passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026. She began her professional journey as a teletype operator for EF Hutton & Co. where she excelled at transmitting orders to the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Her precision and expertise were widely recognized during her tenure. Later in life, she became a sales assistant for multiple advisors. She was usually given the rookies, so she could whip them into shape! She retired after more than 30 years in the business.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jeri had a true zest for life that was evident in her passions and hobbies. She was an avid card player with a particular fondness for pinochle. Her skill and strategic mind made her an excellent competitor who brought joy and camaraderie to every game she played. She played monthly with her girlfriends, Judy Girl, Gayle, Patty, Gary, Leona, and sisters Judy and Joanne for over 60 years! Jeri also had an adventurous spirit. Along with her husband Glen, they cruised the world and visited many places including China, Greece, South America, the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Alaska. She also loved the less glamorous vacations camping at Mammoth Pools with her children and grandchildren. Jeri also really loved the ponies! From the horse races at the Fresno Fair to the Kentucky Derby, you could be sure she was placing her bets.
Jeri was preceded in death by her husband Glen, her parents Sam and Tootsie Brown, her daughter Kari Davis, her sister Donna Flaherty and her brother, Samuel Brown. She is survived by her children, Michael Davis and his wife Paula, and her daughter Brooke Simmons and her husband Michael, her sister Winnie Loreto, and brother Mark Brown. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kendra, Lindsay, Jillian, Austin, and Madison as well as her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Eloise, Ryder, Poppy, and Alice. All of whom will carry forward her memory with love.
May Jeri's remarkable life serve as an inspiration to all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, adventure, and excellence will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
