Geraldine Mae Warkentin, born on March 12, 1930, in Isabella, Oklahoma, passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 95. A beloved mother, sister, and friend, she was a cherished resident of Fresno, California.
Geraldine dedicated 26 years of her life to her career as a school librarian in Fresno, California, where she touched the lives of countless students and colleagues with her passion for education and literature.
She is survived by her daughters, Rebekah Warkentin and Ruth Warkentin; her brother, Danny Suderman, and his wife, Martha Suderman and sister-in-law Carol Suderman. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Warkentin, and her brother, Glen Suderman.
A graveside service will be held on February 19, 2026, at 11:00 am at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 N Teilman Ave, Fresno, CA 93706. A Celebration of Life will follow on February 20, 2026, at 11:00 am at Bethany Church, 9161 N Maple Ave, Fresno, CA 93720.
Geraldine's legacy of love, dedication, and service will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
