Ginger, a Fresno native since 1959 has passed away on November 3, 2011 from complications due to illnesses. Ginger and her husband Pete Reese moved to Fresno in 1959 from Oklahoma to start a new life here in the valley and start a new family which included 2 boys, Mike and Kevin. Mr. Reese joined the Carpenters Union Local #701 and after awhile moved to the position of Vice-President which he held for more than 15 years. After the boys got older, Ginger took a job assisting and cooking for the elderly at San Joaquin Gardens as a dietary aid, but years later, due to failing eyesight she was forced to retire and be a stay at home mom. Still with the full support of her husband and two boys she enjoyed life to the fullest and never missed a beat, she enjoyed the tight knit family and even when the boys grew and moved out, they still took time each day to stop by and see her and Dad. Then in 1985, Mike was killed in a motorcycle accident and made the tight knit family even tighter. Then in 1988 after 32 years of hanging drywall and construction work, Pete died of congestive heart failure in his sleep. Ginger moved to a nursing home in 2003 because of health problems and was there until she died. She lived her life as a loving devoted wife and a loving mother to her sons. She is survived by her son Kevin Reese a lifelong Fresno resident, her grandchildren Mistie, Kenneth, Mikell, Ashley and Brandon, numerous great grandchildren she had hoped to see soon.
Anyone who knew the Reese Family is welcome to attended the services at Belmont Memorial Park, on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
