Gladys touched the lives of many individuals throughout her time with us, and will forever be in our hearts as a loving and devoted wife, mother, Nana, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Gladys grew up attending Free Evangelical Lutheran Cross Church and graduated from Roosevelt High School. She married her true love, Herman Riser, and started a family. She soon became a successful businesswoman at Sequoia Savings and Great Western for 25 years, and later owned Riser's Inc.
However, her greatest and most cherished accomplishment in life was her family, with whom she spent the majority of her time. She was a very involved mother and grandmother, attending school and sporting events, planning family gatherings and trips, and was always there for her family. Gladys leaves behind a legacy of "footnotes" in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who knew and loved her.
Gladys is survived by Herman, her husband of 65 years; daughter, Cheryl Thompson and husband Ted; son, Glenn Riser and wife Dian; grandchildren, Erin Gage and husband, Kris; Chad Scarbery, Hayley Hinds and fiancé, Erik Komatsu, Jameson Riser and wife Danielle, Mitchell Riser; and Parker Riser; and great-grand-children, Bradley and Brenna Gage; her sister, Doris LeBeau; sister-in-law, Mary Rosenthal; and many nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
