Sadly, our beloved Mother, Gloria Valdez Boria, 86, of Fresno, California, passed away on June 24 2025, due to complications related to heart disease. Gloria was born on February 28th 1939, to Jose and Jessica Valdez in Alice, Texas.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Jose M. Boria. She was married September 10th 1966 and is survived by 4 sons Joseph, Michael, Adrian, and Bryan.
Gloria also leaves behind 6 loving grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and two brothers Jose and John Valdez. Who loved her and will miss her greatly.
Gloria graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School class of 1960, and went on to have a fulfilling career of 30 years as an Elementary School English as a Second Language (ESL)Teachers Aid for the Fresno Unified School District. Working at John Burroughs and Lane Elementary Schools.
Gloria had a big personality and loved being around her family. She had an impact on each and every person she interacted with. She was courageous, inspirational, kind, loving, funny, and full of joy.
She lived her life to the fullest. Her greatest joys and accomplishments were the love of her husband and the gift of being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wonderful loving Aunt. She will be sorely missed but our love for her will go on.
A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16th from 3 - 7 pm, followed by the recitation of the holy rosary at 5 pm will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns, and Blair Funeral Home - 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.
The mass of christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 17th at 10 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church - 355 E. Champlain Drive, Fresno, CA 93730, and a committal service to follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery - 264 N. Blythe Ave., Fresno, CA 93706.
