It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gloria Cecelia Esquivil on July 28th, 2026 at the age of 91 years old. Gloria joins her parents, Eusebio Ramirez, and Blasita Rey, seven sisters and five brothers in the Kingdom of God in eternal rest. She was the beloved wife to Robert A. Esquivil and a devoted mother to her four children. Gloria was preceded in death by her son Daniel R. Esquivil. Gloria is survived by her loving husband Robert A. Esquivil and her remaining children; Gloria J. Mendoza, Lynda M. Gonzales, David M. Esquivil, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her love of sewing, baking/cooking. Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Gloria will also be remembered for her strength, creativity, kindness, generosity, a deep devotion to those she loved and a faithful servant of god.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 4:00 pm for the viewing followed by the rosary at 6:00 pm at Lisle Funeral Home. Mass of Catholic services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, August 21, 2026 at St. John’s Cathedral. Following the Catholic Mass, the burial will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
