Gloria C. Villalobos passed away to her heavenly home on Thursday July 29, 2021. Gloria was born on March 4, 1941 in Mesilla, New Mexico to Nolberto and Francesca Chavira. The family later moved to California. The Chavira’s owned and worked a ranch in Madera, along with their children.
Gloria was happily married in 1964 and preceded in death by her husband Raul Villalobos Sr. Gloria had 12 brothers and sisters and is survived by sisters JoAnn Chavira Romo and Aurora Cisneros and by brothers Frank Chavira and Joe Chavira. She is also survived by her children Raul Villalobos Jr., Randy Villalobos and his wife Carol, Paul Villalobos, Adrian Villalobos and his wife Cyndi, and Priscilla Villalobos Bertrand and her husband John Bertrand. Gloria was blessed with many nieces and nephews, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The best way to describe Gloria’s life is a quote from a poem by Bessie A. Stanley. “(She) achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much.
Gloria loved to travel and lived her life to the fullest. She is remembered for her smiles and laughter. She was loved by many, and she loved her family along with her friends, Elvis and the Raiders. But above all, she loved the Lord.
A prayer service for Gloria will be held Monday, August 9, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church, 855 E. Floradora Ave., Fresno, CA 93728.
