Gonzalo found joy in the things that made life bright and familiar. He was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and took delight in collecting items that celebrated that lasting admiration. Known as a devoted shopper—especially for clothes and shoes—he enjoyed the simple pleasure of finding something just right. He also loved birds, and he loved to eat, often saying that the best food is at home—words that reflected an appreciation for the everyday comforts that make a life feel full.
Gonzalo is survived by his brother, Francisco Montes (Luz); his sister, Heidi Martinez (Victor); his brother, Andy Montes; his nephew, Israel Martinez; and his nieces, Heidi Gisel Martinez, Jailene Martinez, Noemi Eda Montes, and Vianney Nicole Montes. He was preceded in death by his father, Margarito Solorio Montes, and his mother, Carmen Barajas de Montes.
Pallbearers will be Francisco Javier Montes, Victor Martinez, Israel Martinez, Andy Javian Montes, Ramon Soto Mira Montes, and Jose Antonio Garcia Ledezma.
