Grace Ann Vasquez

Grace Ann Vasquez, age 70, passed peacefully at home in Fresno, California on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Grace was born on April 1, 1954 to Mike & Nellie Camacho. She grew up in Firebaugh, California with both her parents, her 3 brothers; Rudy, Ruben and Michael, her 2 sisters; Sara and Annie, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Grace is survived by her husband; Frank Sr., her 4 children; Nosh, Monica, Karen, Frank Jr. & his wife Katie. Grace was also an amazing Nani to Danae, Giana, Eian, Mila and Zoie. Family meant everything and Grace took pride in spending lots of time and making lots of lasting memories with her kids and grandkids. From family dinners during the week to BBQ’s on weekends and every summer they would spend lots and lots of time in Grace’s backyard oasis. Swimming, laughing, eating food and dancing to Grace’s favorite songs. Grace was a huge lover of sports. There was never a time where she wasn’t watching her SF Giants, rushing home to catch the Golden State Warriors or making sure that her and her family all gathered on Sundays because everyone knows; Sundays are made for football!

Frank and Grace were together for 41 years and married for 30 years. They loved to get in the car and take a drive up or down the coast and land wherever the highways would take them. Grace’s favorite place to visit was the beach, whether Pismo or Monterey, it was her happy place as long as Frank was by her side.

For almost 50 years Grace was a devoted and loving Educator in the Head Start Program with Fresno County EOC. She was passionate about her work and moved her way from a Teacher Assistant to a Teacher Director. Many of her prior students and colleagues still reach out and love running into her because she was an amazing role model to so many for so long.

Grace’s Celebration of Life services will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns and Blair Funeral Home 836 E. Nees Avenue, Fresno, CA 93720

An Inurnment Ceremony will immediately follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery 264 N. Blythe Avenue, Fresno, CA 93706
