I met Gus 4 years ago when I worked at Copper River Country Club. He was my favorite member! He always came into my office to visit and brought candy. I helped him set up his facebook page and took the picture that is on his profile. I always thought it was so cool that he not only had a facebook account, but an Iphone as well! He taught me things on the phone that i didnt even know. Gus was one sharp man and was great with numbers! After I left the Club, he was the only member that I stayed in touch with. I am so saddened to hear about his passing. He will be missed so much. He was one of a kind, gentle soul and all around a very nice man. He will be missed. My deepest prayers and thoughts to all of his family during this difficult time.

I was in one of those 80's bands that enjoyed more nights than I can count working in Mr. G's. Though I know there was much more to Gus than Mr. G's, that was the only part of Gus that I ever knew. However, I can tell you that every time I pass through Bristol & Saginaw, I think of Mr. G's, and Gus... and it always makes me smile. I can think of no better testament, and I have to believe there are many, many others with the same fond memories, even after 30 years. Godspeed Gus, you made a genuine difference in our lives, and we remember you and will miss you.

So sorry to hear of Gus' passing and my thoughts and prayers are with the family. I have some very fond memories of Gus and Ann from Mr. G's in Flint MI from the 1980's. Gus was the employer of the band I was in (Doug Hedrick & Country Class Band) for many years. I remember him like it was yeterday!
