Harriet Ann Sheldon age 81, of Fresno, California died peacefully on Sunday, October 17, 2021 following a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born December 14, 1939 in Fresno, California, the daughter of George W. and Virginia E. Doolittle.
Harriet graduated from Fresno High School, Class of 1957. After high school, she married the love of her life, Jim Sheldon. They remained in Fresno where together, they raised their family. In June, they celebrated 63 years of marriage. Harriet was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and painting.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Virginia Doolittle. Harriet is survived by her loving husband Jim; her brother Arnie Doolittle and his wife Carole of San Diego; daughters Cindy Kemple and her husband Brian of Fresno, Janet Rowe and her husband Tim of Coarsegold; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A service of remembrance will be held Monday, November 1, 2021 at10:00 AM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.
There will be a graveside burial to follow at Clovis Cemetery, 305 N. Villa Ave., Clovis, CA 93612
