Together, they shared 62 beautiful years of marriage and built a family they cherished deeply. Harvey is survived by his children, Mike and his wife Annette, and Caroline; five grandchildren—Brenda, Matthew, Amanda, Rebecca, and Cameron; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. His legacy lives on through each of them.
Harvey was a man of great integrity, boundless energy, and unwavering love for his family. His strong work ethic and adventurous spirit defined much of his life, and even as he faced the challenges of dementia, he remained deeply thoughtful—always evaluating his attitude to make sure those caring for him felt appreciated and loved.
A true outdoorsman, Harvey felt closest to God in the high Sierras, surrounded by majestic mountains and pure mountain lakes. The hymn “How Great Thou Art” was a favorite of his, often running through his mind as he stood in awe of God's creation. Nature was a sacred space for Harvey—a place where he found peace, perspective, and connection to his faith.
Professionally, Harvey served as an agricultural pest control advisor and businessman. He employed a team of ten PCAs, working with a wide range of crops—from vegetables to cotton and perennial fields. He left a lasting impression on all who worked with him through his expertise, mentorship, and generous spirit.
At age 55, Harvey entered his first retirement and began sharing his knowledge of horsemanship with young learners. He enthusiastically volunteered with the Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue Horse Division and took countless high-country horseback trips with his family to share his love for the wilderness.
Later, he returned to work in agricultural chemical sales at the food processor level, where he remained until his second and final retirement at age 72.
Throughout every role, Harvey’s most important job was loving his family—something he did with a big heart, a bright smile, and an enduring warmth that touched everyone he met.
We are grateful to God that Harvey called upon the name of Jesus and was covered in forgiveness and love as he entered eternity. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
