Hazel Lillian Bopp

She graduated from Central Union High School and later married the love of her life, Albert Bopp. The two owned and operated ranches in the Biola and the Fresno Area for over 50 years, and shared a lifetime of wonderful memories with friends and family.

Many years were enjoyed at Hazel and Al's second home in Morro Bay, where they held their very popular 'Annual Fish Fry'. Hubby, Al would catch the fish while deep sea fishing and bring them home for Hazel to prepare for everyone's enjoyment.

Hazel was a housewife who was a life member of the Biola VFW Ladies Auxiliary 5845, and devoted many hours of volunteer work at the Veterans Hospital. She was Past President of the Raisin Wives of California where she volunteered at the raisin store that provided scholarships for viticulture students at California State University, Fresno. She was also Past President of Sun Empire School PTA, a member of the Farm Bureau of Fresno, a member of Cooperative Raisin Growers and a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Gary Lee and Jay Cervelli. In July of last year, mom suffered her final loss with the passing of Al, her loving husband of 71 years.

She is survived by her brother, Bob Cervelli of Fresno; son, Al Bopp Jr. of Kerman; and daughter, Kathy Knowles of Fresno. She was Mimi to grandson, Shannon Threatt; and great-grandson, Alexander Threatt, both of Fresno; and "Aunt Hazel" to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Thursday, April 28, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Friday, April 29, 2016, at 10:00 a.m.
