Helen worked at JC Penny and the Internal Revenue Service. She was the type of person that was always there for her family to help them when they needed it. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Sr.; her father, Charles Berton Hance; her mother, Dora Hance; and her son, Gary Barnes.
Helen is survived by her two sisters, Dorothy Sunderland and Geraldine Nichols; one brother, Berton Hance; three sons, Benny Jr., Bob and Stephen Barnes; two daughters, Connie Parrick and Wonda Goodwin; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Monday, March 10, 2014, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at 10:00 a.m.
