Helen Arpin Minasian

Helen A. Minasian was born to parents Mugrdich and Vasil (Ohanesian) Gahvejian in Fresno, California on October 5, 1922 and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 after a brief illness. She loved God, her family, friends, flowers and working in the vineyard. She lived her life by putting others first. Her garden always had beautiful flowers in bloom and she found great joy in making bouquets for the church, friends, and family events. A visit from Helen always included a bouquet of flowers or a bottle of her canned fruit or grape leaves. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Minasian; and sisters, Sirun Esajian and Claire Krikorian. She is survived by her daughters, Liz Hamilton and her husband Chuck, Nonig and Ed Law III; son Marty Minasian and his wife Joan; grandchildren, Saerna Law, Edward Law IV, Arla Green III and his wife Rebecca, and Monique Vallejo and her husband Marcos; in addition to three great-grandchildren. She also leaves brothers Jack Gahvejian and his wife Lucille, John Gahvejian and his wife Lorrie; and sisters, Armon Boghosian and Patt Potigian.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Ararat Cemetery.
