Helen Tani passed away March 13 in Fresno at the age of 95. She was raised in Kingsburg and along with many other Japanese Americans spent the war years at the Gila Arizona Internment Camp. Following the war she met and married Mamoru Tani, and together they raised six children. Helen worked for 20 years in retail. She is preceded in death by her husband Mamoru.
She is survived by her daughters; Sharon Tani-McCabe, Marsha and husband Paul Auchard, Kathryn Miller, Ellen and husband Dave Shelby, sons Robin and wife Kathy Tani and Jon Tani; grandchildren, Matthew Auchard and Jennifer Miller.
Memorial services will be held at the Lisle Funeral Home, at 11:00 am, on Friday, March 23, 2018. In lieu of Koden or flowers the family requests donations to a charity of your choice.
