It has been over four months since you passed away, Dad.  There have been birthday parties and get togethers and disagreements and laughter. We have been working and paying bills and have been sick and have been well...and you and Mom have been there with us through it all. Because we keep you both in our hearts forever and we will keep your memories alive by telling your grandchildren and great grandchildren stories about their Nana and Tata and sharing our memories with them.

How Tata would wake up whistling every morning while he fixed his coffee before work. How he would take us fishing.🎣 How Nana never missed her novellas and all of the delicious meals she prepared for the family she loved. How Tata played the guitar like Trio Los Panchos and how Nana loved her 'musica' especially  Jose Alfredo Jimenez.  🎶

So many memories to share with our children, grandchildren,  nieces and nephews. Also, all of the many family friends who loved Mr. and Mrs. Carbajal.

You are loved and missed by many! ❤💕❤💕❤💕

It's been over two months since you passed away....I was remembering when you told me that you couldn't sleep. Then you told me that you were afraid of dying. I told you what I believe. I told you that when someone dies it's  like when you go to bed and fall asleep, then wake up feeling like you just fell asleep for a minute, but it's morning already. I said that's how I think death is....fall asleep then next thing you know Jesus wakes you, when He returns! Scripture says that the dead are resting until Jesus' Second Coming. Amen! 

My Dad listened to what I had to say then he said, "Thank you, mija. I feel better." I know that God wanted to reassure him that he would be okay when the time came. I think Dad still had trouble sleeping after that, but for that day he was comforted.  Rest in Peace, Dad ❤ Until Jesus returns to awaken us all!

Dad....it's  been so sad without you and Mom. No one to call me 'mijita' or "Sanasu" or even '¡Susana, cabrona! like Mom used to....lol.  We will never forget all of the good memories growing up. You always made sure that we ate first even giving us the best cuts of meat or whatever we were having. I will remember all of the happy times. We will tell our children and grandchildren everything about you and Mom.  

You never spanked us or even yelled at us too much. Other kids were afraid of their Dad spanking them. We were always afraid of disappointing you. It hurt my heart when you would say "I am so disappointed in you, mija." And I would try that much harder or be better. Dad, I am so very sorry for the times that I disappointed you.

Love and Miss you so much Daddy.  I miss making your meals, giving you your meds, ordering your meds, taking you to the doctor, hearing you talk on the phone to your brother or sisters. I miss making our favorite meals like calabasitas with queso or making fish or shrimp.  I miss making your avena or your coffee. Or after a doctor appointment you would say lets go get that good sweet coffee meaning Starbucks and getting a caramel frappacino. I am so grateful and thankful that I lived with you 10 years and that I cared for you during your last months. I wouldn’t of done it any different. I hate coming home and you’re not home to say “ Hi Mija, how was your day? Are you tired”.
I miss your voice.  You thanked me so many times and you didn’t have to Daddy cause I promised Mom that I would take care of you til the end and I fulfilled my promise with no regrets. Myself, Eddie, Andrew, Denise, Carlos, Roxanne, Eddie, Daniel, Kassie, Jacob, Carlitos, Jade, Kiara, Lily and Lucia will dearly miss you for birthdays, holidays and any family gatherings.  I know you and Mom will be watching over all of us.   Love you and miss you so💜💜




Just want to say that we miss you Dad! Thank you for being the best Dad ever. You always provided for your Honey-Nati, myself, Tito and Susie. We always had a house, food and clothes because of you. You were always a hard worker in everything you did. Your family always came first. And when your Grandchildren came, you and Mom always made sure to take care of them and made sure they had everything. We thank you two for that! Nana would buy whatever was needed but you were the bread winner.  You both never said no when it came to your Grandchildren.  Susie, Tito and myself have a lot of great memories when we were growing up. From you helping us with our homework, teaching us how to ride a bike to teaching us how to drive. You taught us how to shoot a b-b gun, how to fish and how to grow a garden.

Tata, its been two months since you’ve been gone and I think about you everyday. These past nine years since nana passed have been rough and we talked about it a lot.  I miss the conversations, just the two of us.   I wanted to make sure that you didn’t feel like you were alone. So, I would go see you or call almost everyday. I simply wanted to be there for you, like I know you would be there for all of us.  I appreciate everything you have done for me, as a kid, a teenager and as an adult.  To playing outside, helping me with homework,  to advice on everyday life.   So, thank you Tata, for being such a big part of my life. Help raising me and  help me become the person I am today.  I love you. Give Nana a hug for me. I miss you

Dad's Funeral Service at Washington Colony Cemetery in Easton, CA

The next four collages are my Dad's funeral service. He had a military honor funeral service as he served in the United States Army. Thank you for your service Dad! Thank you for everything. Thank you for being the best Daddy, Tata, Great Tata, Husband, Brother, Tio.

As I was sitting next to my Dad, something drew me to lift his retirement baseball cap up. As I did, it was a March 2009 calendar and in my Dad's own writing expressing how lonely he was as it was my Mom's first day in Heaven. I yelled out to Cousin Rosie and Sister Susie and we just started crying. That calendar has been there for nine years! Love you Mom & Dad ❤

I found this dream handwritten by my Dad in his drawer in between the pages of the address/phone book. There is no date on it but I wanted to put my Dad's dream in his funeral service announcement.  This is the original note in my Dad's own handwriting.  The true love between my parents was so strong!❤❤

Happy Memorial Day Dad! Thank you for serving in the U.S. Army. Went to cemetery this morning and this was put above your headstone to honor you as a Veteran.  Love and Miss you so!

We made a music CD,  when Our Mom passed away nine years ago, Dad told us that his and Mom's song is "Cien Anos" by Javier Solis 🎶 #1 on this music CD that we made for Dad. 

Dad played the guitar so beautifully like Trio Los Panchos on this CD. So many great memories of listening to Our Dad playing his guitar in the living room. One Summer, Dad taught me how to play "Love Story" on his guitar. We miss you and Mom so much. But we will see one another again! Thank you, God, for the Blessed Hope! Love you For Eternity ❤♾

One of the times our Cousin Rosie came to visit us. When Rosie went back home my Dad said,  "Ay como falta la Rosita".  Thank you for everything you do for us Rosie. You say you do it for my Mom and Dad. We love and appreciate you❤

We all have many many memories of Dad, Tata, Tio Liqui. Mom and Dad have three children. Juanita, Henry Jr (Tito) and Susie. I am Mom and Dad's baby. Their youngest daughter. I cherish the memories that I have of my parents when they were young and we were kids. Dad would take us all fishing. One time, Mom caught two big catfish on a double hooked fishing rod! She was so excited!! I can still hear her laughing and screaming and Dad shouting and running to help her from where he was fishing! It is such a good memory.  Dad would sometimes have a day off during the week and I would play hookey from school and we would go fishing. One time, it was just too cold and we didnt even get out of the car. We just sat there and ate the lunch he had packed for us. Boiled eggs with salt and a sandwich. He also brought coffee for him and hot chocolate for me. While we were eating lunch these two black cars pulled up next to each other. Dad and I began making up a story that they were secret spies. It was fun! I remember so much Dad. I'll never forget how you made me feel so special. Thank you for the hours spent talking while you tended your garden. You always made time for us kids. We always came first. I remember, Dad; and I'll  love you forever.

To the Carbajal Family, my condolences to you all! I loved my Tio & wish I could have seen him! 😥 I'm so saddened that he's gone home but I know he's in a better place with Jesus & his angels! My Tio was a character & so funny! I'm going to surely miss him! RIP my handsome Tio Liqui! Gone but not forgotten & you will forever live in our hearts! 💖

Mom and Dad were probably going to attend a family event like a graduation or some type of celebration. They never missed a get together. They both enjoyed being with family.

My Christmas Eve Wedding 2007. Ray and I are so thankful that both Our Beautiful Moms and Our Handsome Dads were able to attend. Dad walked me down the aisle at 2:21 pm. Thank you Dad! 

I've been missing you so Daddy! I kept my promise to you and Mom til the end. One of my dreams after Mom got called Home, she knocked on my door and said, "Cuida  a tu Daddy".
We are all going to miss you but we know you are forever happy again cause you are reunited with your "Honey- Nati".  Thank you for everything Dad! You were always a hard worker and always provided a house, food and clothes for your Nati,  me, Tito  and Susie. Your family always came first.
Thank you for guiding and teaching my four Sons right from wrong. Because of you and Mom, Eddie and I have been blessed with four great Sons! We have so many great memories that we will cherish forever in our ❤s. The last memory we made was on Easter. You weren't feeling well but you were so happy cause the boys and the great grandchildren were coming over. You went to the living room and spent time with everyone. When we said love you, you always responded, "Love You A Million".  Til we reunite again Daddy. Give a big hug and kiss to Mom from me 💜

Thank you for all of the wonderful memories and all of the long talks at the kitchen table. We discussed everything from your childhood to religion to politics to my boyfriends. I thank you for the unconditional love that you bestowed upon my son, your grandson Benjamin. I am forever grateful for your love! When I first met my husband, Ray, I told him "I want someone who makes me feel cherished like my Dad cherishes me." And he does, Dad! Thank you, Dad. Love You A Million!❤
