Herlinda Barbosa de Avila passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 95 in Fresno. She was born on January 31, 1930 in Zac, Mexico to Antonio and Teresa De Avila. She retired as a cook of a restaurant after 15 years. Herlinda is survived by her son Arthur De Avila, her brothers Pedro and Lorenzo De Avila, nieces Lurdres, Anna, cousins, Abraham, Lisa, Javier, Rojelio, Ivan, Omar, Roy Guerrero and Federico De Avila.
Visitation will be held on August 13, 2025, at 5:00 pm at Palm La Paz Chapel, located at 1605 L Street, Fresno, CA 93721 and a prayer service will follow at the same location at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Service Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 9:00 am at Saint John's Cathedral, 2814 Mariposa St, Fresno, CA 93721. Interment at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 S Cornelia Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
