

Hidemi Kimura was born in Fresno California to Ryuzo and Sakayo Kimura 88 years ago. He was one of four children. Hidemi “Kim” is survived by his son, Kenny Kimura and wife June of Clovis, daughter, Karen Kimura and husband Matt Arbios. Grandchildren: Kimberly Lopez, Katelyn Kimura, Courtney Kimura and husband Raj Badhesha, Nathan Arbios, and Sophia Arbios. Great Grandchildren: Hannah Lopez, Rebekah Lopez and Ezra Badhesha. Step Grandsons: Andrew and Aric Lotz. Kim was preceded in death by his wife Marina Kimura and oldest child, Steve Kimura.
Hidemi graduated from Edison High School and got married in 1957. At that time, he took some college classes. He worked for Fresno County for a period of time while also working under his brother Nobu at his Arco gas station. Kim worked for EB Wills Rebar for several years before starting his own rebar company, Fresno Rebar. Kim then did freelance work while planning the opening Kasco Fab. In 1978 Kim started Kasco Fab Inc with a partner but took over sole ownership of Kasco Fab Inc in 1990 Kim worked very hard over the last several decades to make Kasco Fab a leading structural steel fabricator in the industry. In 2008 Kim sold Kasco Fab to Kenny and Karen; but he was still in charge until his last few days of work in March 2026. Kim worked with a lot of General Contractors over his decades in the industry often times expressing why his way was the better way to build. His saltiness was treasured by many.
Kim was known to be deeply devoted to his family and treasured his relationships with them throughout his life. He was a person that maintained relationships with friends for decades i.e., Cosmos Men’s Night and the Verdi club.
Kim loved his Rams and was known to prefer that only he and the TV could be loud during these games. He was an avid Fresno State Bulldogs fans and often traveled across the United States to watch their games. He was one of the first people to purchase his Red Seats when the stadium was completed.
Kim had an avid interest the Stock Market that started decades ago. He was still checking the market up to his passing.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 L Street, Fresno, CA 93721, on June 5, 2026, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
