His biggest enjoyment was his wife’s cooking. His favorite places to go were the beach (especially San Diego) the mountains and he loved the desert around his wife’s hometown. Darr loved movies and was a huge fan of Star Trek and going to conventions with his wife.
Darr had many talents and hobbies. He loved working on cars, fixing stuff and building furniture. He loved working outside in the yard. One of his favorite things to cook was honey butter chicken. Darr loved sports: football, basketball and golf. His favorite snacks were his wife’s desserts, candy and pistachios. He loved roller coasters at Six Flaggs Magic Mountain.
Darr served in the United States Navy from 1973 – 1977, was ranked AM5 3 Aviator Mechanic. He received a National Defense Service Medal.
