He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Alonzo Griggs and Iva Lena Conner Griggs, his son Tommy Ray Griggs, and his brother Juell Griggs, sister Ora Dean Cordes, brothers Eugene, Duane and James Griggs.
He is survived by his wife, Neva Griggs, sister Eunice and her husband Don of Coursegold, CA and his brother Charles Griggs and his wife Paula of Coursegold, CA.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 "L" Street, Fresno, CA 93721.
A graveside service will be Monday, September 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 S. Cornelia Ave., Fresno, CA 93721.
