IIda Moncivais was born on February 23rd, 1940 in Del Rio, Texas to Felix and Estefania Moncivaiz along with her three siblings, Dolores, Robert, and Philip. Ida would go on to work as a Teacher Assistant at the Del Rey School, a CNA, and Activity Coordinator at Beverly Manner in Fowler. However, according to her all of that would pale in comparison to the wonderful family that she brought into this world. Ida is the mother of Jesse Moncivaiz, Debra Escobedo, Ida “Kristy” Castanon, Mario Castanon, Kim Cazares, and Bruno Cazares. She is also the grandmother to Rosary, Jenny, Jesse, Tessie, Angel, Kevin, Jessica, Marie, Carlos Jr, Tony, Lil Ray, Isabel, Catrina, Luis Jr, Isaac, Angel, Stevie, Linda, Monique, Mario Jr, Isaac, Nathan, Isaiah, Ismeal, Cheyanne, Jesse, Sierra, Michael, Bruno Jr, and Noah along with many, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. To attempt to put into words the scale and scope of Ida’s life and the impact she has had (and will continue to have) on all of us would be an impossible task. What we can do is simply say that we love you Mom, and thank you. There will forever be a wound in our hearts where you once dwelled, but not all pains are an evil. We will hurt for the love you gave us, and the love we have still to give in your honor.
Mrs. Ida also leave behind numerous family and friend that will cherish her memory.
