Ione "Jeanette" Kline

December 11, 1935 – October 16, 2020
Obituary of Ione "Jeanette" Kline
IN THE CARE OF

Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home

Devoted & Loving Wife, Mom, Grandma, Sister & Friend

“Jeanette” lived 84 blessed years, she passed away on October 16, 2020, after a short hospital stay.

Born to Hobart & Frances Weatherson in Kerman, CA, she graduated from Kerman High School in 1953 and went on to attend a semester at Bethel College in Santa Cruz, CA, before attaining her associate degree in business at Merced College. She worked nearly 40 years as a Bookkeeper – most of those years at Daily Legal Report and American Paving.

She loved to travel – by car, truck (with camper or trailer), motorcycle, train, party bus or cruise ship – she enjoyed each and every adventure with friends and family; from beaches to mountains. An avid reader and puzzle solver, she loved to play cards and games of all kinds and wouldn’t turn down a chance to go wine tasting with her daughter.

Jeanette was predeceased by her parents, son, Douglas Kline, sisters, Nadine Wetlesen and Fern Pallesi, brothers, James Weatherson and Leroy Weatherson.

She is survived by her husband, Donald “Johnny” Kline, married 65 years, daughter, Debra Pellouso (John), grandchildren, Anthony Pellouso (Rachel), Christine Jones (Bobby), Donald Kline (Ashton), Brianna Pellouso (Don Jones) and 10 great-grandchildren plus one on the way; sister, Hope Hamilton and brother, Jerry Weatherson.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2 PM, at American Legion Post 509; attendance may be limited by local governance.
