Irene Miyako Miyasaki passed on June 24, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on March 30, 1948 in Fresno, California to George and Yukiko Nakahara. She retired from Fresno State after 15 years as a administrative assistant.
Irene is survived by her husband Donald Miyasaki, children Kimberly and Kevin Miyasaki, siblings Jeanne and James Nakahara, Nancy and Gary Ibara and Emily Leach.
Memorial Service will be held at Fresno Betsuin Buddhist Temple, 2690 E. Alluvial Ave, Fresno, CA 93720, on July 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
