She is survived by her husband, Hugo Sun, of Fresno, her daughter, her mother, her brother and his family, and sister and her family. She was preceded in death by her father.
Ixin moved to the United States from China in 1989 to pursue a PhD in Mathematics at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. After she finished her doctorate in 1993, she and her husband moved to Fresno and raised their daughter together. She taught math at the collegiate level for many years. In her spare time, she especially enjoyed spending time with her family, reading about various topics ranging from astronomy to British literature and exploring different cuisines.
Ixin was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by many.
