Jacob Manuel Alarcon, 33, passed away on October 3, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories, laughter, and love. Jacob was a devoted husband, loving stepfather, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Born on April 17, 1993, in Fresno, California. Jacob was the son of Valerie Gonzales and Steve Alarcon. Growing up alongside his two older brothers, Steven and Joseph Alarcon, and his sister, Danielle, Jacob developed a competitive spirit and a love for sports that would stay with him throughout his life. An avid athlete from a young age, he was always eager to compete, especially against his older brothers. Whether playing sports or engaging in a little friendly competition, Jacob loved a challenge. Despite his competitive nature, he was always a mama’s boy at heart and shared a special bond with his mother.
Family meant everything to Jacob. He treasured the time spent with his parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. He especially looked forward to the family’s annual Christmas gatherings, filled with gift exchanges, games, laughter, and simply enjoying one another’s company. He took great pride in supporting his nieces and nephews, attending their sporting events and cheering them on in their accomplishments.
Jacob was a man of many interests and an unforgettable personality. He had a love for sports, especially his Philadelphia Eagles and Phoenix Suns, and enjoyed traveling, including trips to Philadelphia to watch his favorite team play. He especially loved sharing his passion for sports with his stepson, Chase, teaching him about different teams, watching games together, and doing his best to convince Chase to cheer for the same teams he loved.
Jacob also had a fun-loving side that made him such a joy to be around. He enjoyed karaoke, dancing, barbecuing, working out, and spending quality time with the people he loved. He was an enthusiastic fan of reality television and could often be found watching Top Chef, The Challenge, Love Island, or Fire Country. He was a foodie at heart, loved cooking, and wasn’t afraid to share his opinions about how a meal should be prepared.
He also took pride in his appearance and had a natural sense of style. Whether putting together an outfit, picking out a new cologne, or coordinating shoes and holiday outfits with his wife, Jacob enjoyed the little details. He had an appreciation for interior design, candles, and creating a comfortable home. As he spent more time with his wife’s family, he even embraced a little more of the country lifestyle.
Above all, one of the greatest joys of Jacob’s life was the love he shared with his wife, Alexis. Their love story was filled with laughter, adventure, friendship, and a bond that was uniquely their own. They were not only husband and wife but best friends, partners, and each other’s greatest companions. Jacob had a beautiful way of showing his love through the smallest gestures. He paid attention to the little things Alexis mentioned wanting, often surprising her with them when she hadn’t even realized he was listening. He loved bringing her flowers, making her feel special, and reminding her through his actions just how much she meant to him.
Together, they found joy in both life’s grand adventures and its simplest moments. They loved traveling, trying new restaurants, cooking, dancing, and singing karaoke together. One of their favorite traditions was singing their song, “I’m Real” by Jennifer Lopez featuring Ja Rule, a song that will forever hold a special place in their love story. They had a saying between them that perfectly captured their relationship: they were “locked in.” It was more than just a phrase; it was their promise to one another, a reflection of their loyalty, their commitment, and the understanding that whatever life brought their way, they were in it together.
In August 2026, Jacob and Alexis exchanged vows, making official the commitment they had already made in their hearts. Although their time as husband and wife was heartbreakingly short, the love they shared was immeasurable. They dreamed of growing old together, raising their family, creating traditions, and continuing to build a beautiful life side by side. Jacob embraced his role as a stepfather to Chase, becoming an important part of his life and the family they were building together. Jacob and Alexis were also eagerly awaiting the arrival of their daughter, Aubree, a precious blessing and beautiful reflection of their love. Though Jacob would never have the opportunity to hold his baby girl in his arms, she was already deeply loved by her father.
Their love story was never supposed to end this soon. There were still so many memories to make, places to visit, milestones to celebrate, and ordinary days they looked forward to sharing. But the love they built was never measured by the amount of time they had together. It was found in every bouquet of flowers, every thoughtful surprise, every song they sang, every laugh they shared, and every moment they chose each other. Though Jacob is no longer physically by Alexis’s side, their love remains forever “locked in.” It lives on through their memories, the family they created, and the daughter who will carry a piece of him into the future.
Though his time here was far too short, Jacob lived a life filled with love, passion, and meaningful connections. His memory will continue through the stories shared, the traditions carried on, and the countless lives he touched.
Jacob will forever be loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
