He was raised from the age of 4 by his mother and Stepfather James
Smith in Bitterwater, Ca.
He attended Kings City High School then graduated college from Fresno
State University where he earned his degree as a Pest Control Advisor
and remained in Fresno, Ca. until God called him home on August 17,
2019.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life Jessie Lane and Son
Mark Lane.
He will be greatly missed by his Sister Lisa Lee Smith, four daughters,
Dana Ashley, Joell Batista and her husband Juan, Kori Hitchcock and her
husband John, Analisa Lane. 9 grandchildren, Addison Ashley, Emilee
Hitchcock, Beth Hitchcock, Caden Batista, Bella Batista, Brittney Lane
Kubisch and husband Mark, Brandon Lane, Ryan England, Eric England
and his wife Alyssa. 2 great grandchildren, Kenneth England and
Madeline Kubisch.
Jim was a Pest Control Advisor in the San Joaquin Valley for 57 years.
He was still working full time for Nutrien Ag Solutions
until he became ill.
Over the years Jim made many friends that he considered family.
He loved more than anything his family, friends, food, sports, hunting
trips, and telling long stories over Colorado Highballs, and his
condominium in San Diego, Ca.
Jim loved life to the fullest and never met a stranger.
When you think of Jim the word honest, loyal, giving, genuine, happy
come to mind.
He will forever be missed and loved by many and always will be "The
Legend" to us all.
