James Richard Ortega was born on August 4, 1939, in California to Rufus and Sylvia Ortega. He passed away on December 26, 2025, at the age of 86. He was a resident of Fresno, California. James is survived by his children Lynda Lane Ortega, Guy Roman Ortega, James Galvin Ortega, Davina Ortega, Brooks Richard James Ortega, Catrina Ortega, Stalina Ortega, Evangelina Ortega and his sister Barbara Jean Munoz, 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
