She was preceded in death by her sons, Steve, Joseph and David Vargas.
Jane is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Amizquita and Sophia Vargas and her husband, Anthony Alvarez; sons Amado Vargas and Gilbert Vargas; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Lisle Funeral Home 1605 L Street at Calaveras, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm followed by a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 4:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at St. John’s Cathedral, 2814 Mariposa St. at R St., at 10:30 am. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, 264 North Blythe Avenue, Fresno.
