It is with profound sorrow that I announce the passing of Janet Sue Rhodes who entered eternal rest with our Lord on March 6, 2025. She was 74 years old. Born Janet Sue Thompson in Corcoran, CA. August 10, 1950 to Myrtle Marie Thompson and Calvin Love Thompson.
Jan had many talents and enjoyed various hobbies through the years. Jan began working for the IRS in Fresno as a seasonal employee in the early 1990’s and it became a career. She retired after 25 years of service to the IRS in 2016, where she last served as a Tax Examiner. Jan loved life, fun, her family and friends, and on occasion the game of golf.
Jan graduated from Woodland High School, Woodland, CA in 1968. She lived in San Francisco for a time where she met friends for life Don and Kathy Bickel. Jan returned to Woodland in the mid 1970’s where she met Ron. Jan and Ron were married on August 28, 1977.
Jan is survived by her husband Ron Rhodes and younger sister Linda Mata.
