After moving to California in the late 60's he was employed by American Building Maintenance and worked at the Kaiser Center in Oakland for 26 years.
He survived a near fatal auto accident in 1995, and in 2003 he was diagnosed with malignant melanoma. Jerry was a cancer survivor.
Jerry was a resident of Pacific Gardens for five years and the family is most indebted to the staff for their kindness and care during that time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucille Proski; and his youngest brother, Jeff.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Elizabeth; his daughter, Jill Moroni; brothers, Joe Proski and his wife Janice and Jackson Proski and his wife Melissa; sister Janet Detry and her husband Kurt; step-daughter, Sandra Panattoni and her husband Paul; stepsons, Gary and David Mladinich; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
