Jess Castanon

Jess was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was loved and respected as the patriarch of the family. He was a good hearted and giving man. He loved yard sales, music, hats and gold chains. He was everybody's biggest fan when attending their events. He was a faithful Raiders and Giants fan. He was preceded in death by his son, Jess, Jr.

Dad you've blessed our lives in so many ways that life will never be the same without you.

Jess is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Lillie; his sons, Richard and his wife Priscilla, Fred and his wife Corrine, Marty and his wife Gloria; daughter, Diane and her husband John Aguirre; daughter-in-law Annette; 13 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; two brothers; and five sisters.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, January 6, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Fresno First Baptist Church on Friday, January 7, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
