He worked for Harris Construction until he retired, but kept working at home at various jobs.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dell who passed on June 18, 2013; his sister Esperanza Carlos; and grandson Freddy Sterling.
Jess is survived by his children, Linda Jusino, Jesse Jr., Janet, Lynete Vickers, and Diane Castillo; grandchildren, Stephanie, Walter Jr., Jessica, Danny Jr., Amanda, Melissa, Nicole, Shelly; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Josephine "Chole" Garcia
and Maria Luisa of Mexico.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
