Five years ago today we lost you. Not a day goes by that I do not feel you with me. I miss your voice, your laugh, and the way you could make everything feel okay. Somehow, in the small moments of my daily life, I still catch glimpses of you in a song, a smell, or a phrase I hear myself say. Love like yours never fades. It just lives on in a different way. I miss you Dad. Always. ❤️

You are greatly missed always. But now we celebrate the life you had on earth. We will get to see you again one day in the eternal life in the heavens with our loved ones that we miss so much. Thank you for the loving kindness you shared with us on earth. We will follow Gods word and share his love so we also one day will be greeted in the heavens.

Tina, the love your father had for you and your brother was endless. The memories you shared with him are irreplaceable sis.   
You knew the true “Old Man.”  I’m not sure if Heaven was ready for not Just 1, but 2 Jesses.  They have finally reunited sis. They’re together again.  

Adam, Jesse, Xavier, Renee, and Isreal; You kids were so blessed to have had the coolest, funniest, most loving grandfather ever. Grandpa loved you all so very much. There wasn’t anything that man wouldn’t do for you, from staying up with you guys when you were sick, to letting you help in the garden, He will forever be with you kids. 
 
Thank you so much for all the late night phone calls while you were driving for the Fresno Bee, the  little surprises in our mailbox for “Xaber,” the love and support  you gave when Jess couldn’t be here for his son. You were truly a blessing to us all Jesse. I will miss and love you always.

Mr. Hernandez left behind his beautiful daughter Tina Rodriguez who is the salt of the Earth.  Times spent together will forever be in the hearts of his brothers and sisters and his lone surviving daughter, Tina!

Tina, I was happy your father was able to see his grandchildren before he left to spend paradise with our Holy Father.  I was elated to know that you two spent cherished time together alone to talk.  He knew you loved him and you received a gift most of us never have and that is precious final moments with your dad and him knowing you were there offered him real peace.

May God Bless You and your family, Tina.  Hold your head up high and know that he loved you, your brother and his 5 grandchildren immensely and rest assure that you will all be reunited one day.

My deepest sympathy my precious friend.

What a wonderful man. I will always be internally grateful for him in the simplest of facts that he was the father to both Tina and Jesse. He was always so patient and kind and honestly down for anything. He was the best partner in crime for my niece Renee and nephews  Adam, Israel, Xavier, and Jesse and was the kindest of souls to me. Thank you Jesse. You are truly missed but I know you and my brother are together again and that alone gives us peace at heart. 

I wanted to add that my uncle Jesse is survived by his brothers Lawrence Hernandez, Felix Hernandez,  Paul Hernandez,  and San Ramon Hernandez. 
As well as his  sisters Mary Lou Hernandez, 
Mary Carmen Hernandez, and  Dolores Garcia Hernandez . Along with his numerous nieces and nephews. My uncle Jesse was a kind and compassionate man. I always looked forward to hearing his crazy stories. He will forever be missed and in  our hearts. We love you uncle Jess!
