Jesse is survived by his wife, Milagros Ramos, daughters and their spouses: Jemely and
Eric Villegas, Jenny and Orlando Manahan, and Jean and Matt Jordan. He also leaves
behind eight grandchildren: Jonah Villegas, Daniel Villegas, Isabelle Villegas, Megan
Manahan, Madison Manahan, Marcus Manahan, Ashley Jordan, and Andrew Jordan.
Jesse was born in Malabon, Rizal, Philippines on March 13, 1943, to David and Loreto Ramos.
He is survived by his younger siblings and their spouses. Jesse is a veteran of the Vietnam
war and proudly served in the Navy for 21 years, where he earned the National Defense
Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and multiple Good Conduct Awards. Jesse grew up in a providence outside of Manila. At the age of 22, he enlisted in the US Navy. He later petitioned his family for citizenship to the US.
Thanks to him, many family members and their future generations have been given the opportunity to pursue a future in this country. After retiring from the Navy, Jesse worked for 17 years as a custodian
with Clovis Unified School District. He provided for his family in many ways and made countless
sacrifices to ensure his family was taken care of.
Jesse was diagnosed with cancer in December 2018. The family will be forever grateful for
the amazing doctors, especially Dr. Aulakh and Dr. Lemon, and for the nurses and staff
at cCARE. We are also thankful for the medical staff at St. Agnes Medical Center 2-West
for their amazing compassion. He received the best care available during one of the toughest
times of his life. He will be remembered for his unfailing faith in God, his unconditional love
for family and friends, his strong work ethic, and his great sense of humor. There was nothing
he wouldn’t do for his family.
