Mr. Jessie Charles Slayton

He was a WWII veteran and his career was in the wine industry.

Charles is preceded in death by both parents; his beloved wife, Janie Slayton; his sister, Georgia Slayton Harguess; his brother Levi Don Jeffery; and his daughter-in-law, Carol Slayton.

He is survived by his two brothers and their wives, Bob and Joyce Slayton, and Bill and Rowena Jeffery; three children Louis Charles Slayton, Shirley Marie Alexander and her husband Bill, and Cindy Hill; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grand- children; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

His family loved him dearly and will forever miss him.

The family would like to offer our sincere appreciation and gratitude to Debra Slayton, his niece and care provider, as well as Sierra Villa Assisted Living Facility, for their comfort and care for our father.

A Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Friday, October 8, 2010, at 1:00 p.m.
