He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jim attended Lafayette Elementary, Hamilton Junior High and Fresno High schools. He worked and managed the Security Bank Building Garage for over 30 years before retiring and starting a Lawn Care business from which he finally retired completely several years later.
He came by his love of the outdoors through many family outings, camping, fishing and hunting trips with his parents and siblings. He passed that on to his own children and grandchildren.Deer hunting and the companionship of his friends and relatives were his way of life from August through December. If he wasn’t hunting, fishing or camping, he was telling stories about hunting, until he could no longer walk those canyons.
Jim loved visiting with his family and close friends. His best friend was Raymond Bolin who just happened to be married to one of his favorite cousins, Cecile. Ray and Ceil stood up for Jim and Lupe when they married in Reno, Nevada in 1972.
He and Lupe enjoyed many years of traveling to several states, including Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota and Nevada, most often with their granddaughters Christina and Analisa.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lupe Furr, his children Bobbie Parsons, Darrel Furr, Cathy Peck, Desi Moreno, sister Carolyn Baronian (Don) 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
