John was a proud graduate of Clovis West High School, class of 1987. He went on to work at Rainbow Bread Company and in asphalt construction. For the last six years of his life, John dedicated himself as a caretaker for his parents, Tony and Catalina, cherishing the time they spent together.
A man of diverse interests, John was an avid fan of Star Trek and science fiction movies. His love for NASCAR was evident as he cheered for his favorite drivers, Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson. John also had a passion for travel.
He is survived by his mother, Catalina Gonzales, and his sons, Joseph Gonzales (Candi Gonzales) and Joshua Lewis. John also leaves behind his brothers, Tony Gonzales (Virgie Gonzales) and Ray Gonzales (Norma Gonzales), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His father Tony passed away shortly after Johns passing.
A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, located at 202 N. Teilman Ave., Fresno, California, on August 10, 2025, at 5:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will follow on August 11, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2590 E North Avenue, Sanger, CA.
John's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the laughter and joy he brought into their lives.
