John passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 4, 2010, one week after his 92nd birthday. He was born in Chicago, Il. to Robert G. and Mary Dodds McGlashan, and came to California where he attended Oneonta Military Academy and graduated from San Diego High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Army in World War II and married Jamie McDaniel in 1947. He retired from Farmers Insurance Group after 60 years of employment.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert McGlashan.
He is the beloved husband of Jamie E. McGlashan and father of Craig S. MacGlashan and his wife Roberta.
A Memorial Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel, on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at 1:00 p.m.
