John was a veteran who served in Korea with the United States Army, and served as a Military Police Officer for the United States Air Force. John was a retired machine operator for Sun-Maid Raisin Growers of California.
John was a strong willed and independent man who loved to be with his family. He was a very loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He particularly enjoyed going to the casinos to have a meal with friends or family, and then off to try his luck at the poker machines.
John is survived by his children Esther, John, Mary, and Angel, his grandchildren, Patricia, Justin, Michelle, Jenna, Yvonne, Selina, Breonna, Jared, Autuum, Esabel, and Laila, and his great-grandchildren, Veronica, Justine, Jude, Nicholas, Christian, Matthew, and Carson.
A Memorial Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home, Chapel. May 13, 2016 @11:30 a.m.
