John was preceded in death by his sisters Bernice Salwasser and Elsie Storie.
He is survived by Marie, his wife of 62 years; children, Gary and Nancy; beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth and Joshua; brother, Albert Gaad, sister, Joyce Fickenworth and her husband George; and many nieces and nephews.
Vistation will be held at Whitehurst, Sulivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, December 2, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Friday, December 3, 2010, at 11:00 a.m.
Remembrances may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
