

Johnny Lujan, Jr., age 55, passed away on June 15, 2025. A longtime resident of Fresno, California, Johnny was born on February 17, 1970, to Linda Lujan and the late Johnny Lujan. Johnny was known for his kind and generous spirit, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
He graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in 1988 and shortly thereafter enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country from 1988 to 1993. During his military service, he was stationed in Korea and Germany.
After his honorable discharge, Johnny pursued a career in public service with the Monterey County Probation Department and Fresno County Probation, where he dedicated 27 years to supporting and guiding those in need of second chances. Known for his integrity and compassion, he left a lasting impact on colleagues and the many young lives he mentored. Former juveniles under his supervision often recognized him in public, expressing their gratitude for his kindness and positive influence. After retiring from probation work, Johnny’s passion for community service continued. He began working at John Wash Elementary School, where he remained a steady and supportive presence in the lives of students and staff alike.
Johnny was a proud and active member of the department’s softball team, where he cherished the camaraderie and spirit of teamwork that came so naturally to him. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for hiking in the mountains, participating in trail races, and spending peaceful days at the beach. In his free time, Johnny found joy in staying active, attending church, and, most importantly, deepening the bond he shared with his beloved son.
A man of deep faith, Johnny was a devoted member of Truth Tabernacle Church in Fresno. He taught Sunday School and remained committed to his spiritual journey, sharing his beliefs through both words and actions.
Johnny is survived by his beloved wife, Ana Lujan; his children, Apiphanie Lujan and Johnny Lujan; and his granddaughter, Catalina Veal, whom he adored. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Cindy Lujan-Garcia, Anita Haro, Tammy Lujan-Stanislas, and Janelle Lujan, as well as a host of extended family members, friends, and colleagues.
Visitation will be held at Truth Tabernacle, located at 4411 N First St, Fresno, CA 93726, on July 1, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Following the visitation, a Wake Service will take place at Truth Tabernacle, starting at 6:00 pm.
A Graveside Service will be celebrated at Sanger Cemetery, 568 S Rainbow Route, Sanger, CA 93657, on July 2, 2025, from 1:00 pm.
Johnny will be remembered for his unwavering faith, generous spirit, and commitment to service. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
