Joseph John Danisi

At the age of 9 he moved with his family to Fresno. After his graduation at Fresno High School in 1937, he worked with his father on the family farm until he was drafted into the Army/Airforce.

Joe served as an Antiaircraft Art Gun Crewman in Europe during WWII. He was engaged in battle on Omaha Beach Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Irene Danisi, his brothers Dominic, Lawrence, Leonard, William and his sister, Mae Telfer.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Darlene; daughter Rosalie Gunn and her husband Bryan; daughter Juli Danisi; grandson Jason Gunn and his wife Megan; grandson Kevin Gunn and his wife Michelle; great grandsons Lucas, Miles, and Matthew.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Hinds Hospice and especially to Dr. Dickran Gulessarian for his superb care over the past several years.

A graveside service for Joseph will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 - 9:30 AM at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 South Cornelia Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
