

Josephine “Jo” Brooks was a Veteran who served in WW2 in the Nursing Corps and learned how to fly as a civilian. She was a pilot, loved to golf and was a club champion golfer. Jo was married for 50 years to Del Brooks Sr. Her beloved sister and best friend was Faye Betty Wilhelm.
Jo & Del spent many years in Michigan before moving to California in 1962 to go into the car dealership business. Jo also worked in retail as a Buyer & Department Manager for many years.
Jo had a passion for gardening and recognized every plant and flower as she walked down the street. She prided herself on her sharp mind, wit & sense of humor to the very end. She started her day with a cup of coffee, newspaper and little dog Shasha on her lap. She enjoyed the simple pleasures such as watching the hummingbirds feed outside her window. . Jo also loved Waylon & Willie and occasional bourbon & seven.
Jo overcame many physical adversities with the same determination she approached everything in life. She is a two-time cancer survivor.
Jo was an amazing person who in her final hour put her thoughts and concerns to her family as she always did.
Jo is survived by her son Del Brooks Jr., her granddaughter Hilary Walker and her little dog Shasha.
