Josephine Orosco Martinez

March 18, 1935October 7, 2020

Josephine Orosco Martinez was born March 18th 1935 in Artesia, NM. She later moved to California as a child. Josephine met Robert Martinez, who she said was the love of her life, she knew when she met him she was going to marry him. They have been married now over 60 years. They have 3 children together Sandra, James, and Elaine Martinez. Yet she raised many more. Her sister Geneva Ybarra. Her grandchildren Andrea Mosqueda-Garcia, Alexandra Limon, Corrine Quicksall, Joshua Martinez, and Jason Martinez. Josephine had a big heart for her family, she took in many of her nieces and nephews and loved them all as her own. Josephine Martinez left a legacy of love. Her faith brought her through many hard times in life. Her most treasured prayer was that her entire family would come to salvation in Jesus Christ. Josephine went home to her beloved Jesus on October 7th 2020 at 10pm. She has all her tears wiped away and is now clothed in His glory.

Mama
I miss you so much. We had our great times and we had our conflicts but even in our conflicts, you love me. Thank you for helping me with the raising the girls, you helped me when I lost everything in 2008, you were the Heart of our family. I will miss going to the store with me I cried the other day at the store and felt very alone. You showed me how to love my family. No words will ever express the sorrow of missing your presence in my life. I Love You, Mama.

Grandma Josie,
You were such a beautiful blessing to me. I love you for being my grandma. You always showed me love and I will always be so thankful for all you did for me when I was younger. I am so happy that you are dancing with Jesus and I can't wait to dance in heaven with you.

I love you so much and will miss your presence, but I know we will rejoice together again.
