Jo-Ann was born and raised in Fresno, Ca. to Daniel and Lena Lopopolo on September 16, 1942. She graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School.
Jo-Ann was known for her quick smile and positive outlook in life. She was the epitome of unconditional love. She was a loving wife and mother and a friend to everyone who got to know her. She will be deeply missed.
Jo-Ann is survived by her husband, Alfred "Rick" Tavarez, of 43 years; their son, Richard "Richie" Tavarez; her aunts, Jeannie Fernandes, Lucy Martinazzi; and her sisters, Lucia Antonino, Noreen Hess and Carol Westrup; as well as all her cousins, nieces and nephews.
